ProMed Doctors was established in 1998.  We provide professional health services with the support of various health care staffThe practice is owner operated and we are members of Pegasus Health.

 

Dr Kim Lawson was born in Christchurch and has lived in many places around New Zealand. She trained at Otago and then went to Invercargill for a position at Southland Hospital. Kim then worked in Paediatrics at Christchurch Public Hospital before becoming a GP.  She enjoys the variety of General Practice and has many interests. Kim particularly enjoys the continuity of care and getting to know her patients and their families.

 

Dr Mark Rogers trained in Yorkshire. He travelled to New Zealand for a working holiday in ’95 and liked it so much he decided to stay. Mark always wanted to be a GP with the diversity and challenges it brings. He also has qualifications and experience in family planning which includes a variety of contraceptive options.

 

 

Dr Lauren Antley is originally from Wales and graduated from Bristol, UK in 2009.  Lauren has been working in Christchurch since 2012 focusing on paediatrics and women’s health until starting her GP training in 2015.  Lauren has a postgraduate diploma in women’s health and is experienced at inserting and removing IUDs and the contraceptive implant, which can be done at the practice.  She is also a prescriber of PrEP.  In her free time, you might spot Lauren surfing at any of New Zealand’s surf breaks in her campervan.

 

 

Dr Clark Stevenson grew up in Christchurch, completed his medical training at Otago University in 2015, and has worked in New Zealand since. He has had several years experience as an eye doctor before making the switch to General Practice. Clark is currently a GP Registrar and he is working towards being a Specialist GP. In his free time he enjoys playing bass guitar and surfing. 

 

 

 

Dr Tom Bowden graduated from Oxford University in 2007. After 5 years as a Dr in the British army and a brief stint in Christchurch, he completed his GP training in Edinburgh in 2016. Since then Tom has worked in Scotland, Auckland, Christchurch and recently returned to the UK for another stint working for the army. Tom is now firmly settled in Christchurch with a young family. Tom loves the variety of general practice and looks forward to working with patients to help them navigate the complexity of 21st century medicine.

Dr Lara Temple-Doig grew up in Dunedin and completed her medical training at the University of Otago. Lara is a senior GP Registrar, having recently moved here from Invercargill with her husband and three sons. Lara has a background in nutrition which she studied before her medical training. She enjoys working in general practice for the variety it brings and the continuity of care. Outside of work, her interests include: exercising, gardening and watching sport, especially cricket.

Dr Kelly Henderson is a GP Registrar originally from Southland. She graduated from the University of Otago in 2018 before moving to Christchurch. Kelly has worked in a variety of specialties including Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Emergency Medicine and General Medicine before making the switch to General Practice. Outside of work you might find her playing netball, walking her much loved dog Winnie or trying out a new brunch spot with friends.

 

 

 

Our new Health Practitioner, Amanda, works with our clinicians to provide rapid support to our patients when required. This includes practical assistance with stress and problems of living. She sees children, youth, families, and adults of any age. Amanda grew up on the West Coast and has returned to  Christchurch after living in Australia for many years.  She specialises in mental health and has great experience in different aspects of counselling.  Amanda is passionate about helping patients who have psychological barriers to their wellbeing.  She enjoys spending time with her friends, family and taking her pom-chin for walks in her spare time.  Sessions are for 30 minutes and the service is free for enrolled patients. Appointments can be booked online or by phone.

 

 

Our Health Coach, Sophie, is available if you would like support with making lifestyle changes.  Sophie grew up in Northland and studied Human Nutrition at the University of Otago.  Some of her previous work was in public health nutrition, advocating for and supporting communities to access affordable, nutritious kai.  She is passionate about working alongside others to support them with their health goals.  Sessions are for 30 minutes and the service is free for enrolled patients. Appointments can be booked online or by phone.
